FIBA endeavors to
improve the general investment
environment in the Sudan and to
encourage local and foreign capital
inflows via:
Increasing the resources of public
limited companies by issuance of
short ,
medium and long term finance bonds .
Establishing and managing syndicated
finance .
Cooperating with regional and
international financial institutions
to attract medium and long term
finance .
In April 2001 , FIBA was mandated by
the Ministry of Finance and National
Economy as a coordinator for the
Sudan at the regional and
international institutions having
special windows for finance and
development of the private sector .
In this respect , FIBA is
undertaking contacts with such
institutions
to acquaint itself with their system
of finance , terms and procedures.
FIBA has already contaced some of
those institutions and , eventually
succeeded in concluding an agreement
between Sudatel , and the Islamic
Corporation for the Development of
Private Sector ( ICD ) of the
Islamic Development Bank ( Jeddah )
, in which the later provided 8.00
millions Euro to the earlier for the
purchase of telephone exchanges .
